Bowen

Bowen. Home of mangoes and tomatoes. A tropical country town halfway between Mackay and Townsville. Bowen is very much a beach town. A few kilometres east of the highway you will find 8 golden, palm-fringed beaches and parks studded with mango trees. The town gets very busy during harvest time. Stay here off season and it is a nice, relaxing paradise.
